I loved FIDM. I went there in their post graduate program so I can only speak about that - and I loved it. It was a huge change from Howard University and international business - but it was extremely focused and their were great teachers who actually worked in the industry and gave great insight. It was REALLY intense - a lot to learn in an 18 month period and there was soooo much work. But it was all related to what I really love so I enjoyed it. Hit me at osharela@aol.com if you have any more questions. Good luck!
hi eseri, congrats on your recent graduation. i got into product development by fluke. i was just looking for any kind of fashion job out of college. i got recruited in ny by macys, and ive been there ever since. i have only worked in menswear, but the most rewarding or interesting part of product development, is working a line, from a sketch, all the way through production (working with quality control, logistics, customs, design, etcc...) to the selling floor. its a great way to learn your fundamentals about product categories (knits\sweaters vs wovens). best of luck.
